TUI NA MASSAGE

Picture
The use of some type of massage is almost always appropriate in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems, not only can it increase the circulation of Qi and Blood but patients really respond to touch.

Tui na means ‘pinch pull’ and it is a technique performed by TCM practitioners where they use palms, fingertips and knuckles, to massage the body in order to remove blockages along the meridians. Tui Na goes beyond the muscles, bones and joints, to work on the body at a deeper energetic level.

My preferred technique is to use the knuckles because it means you can apply more pressure on certain points, which is good for Acupressure. Sometimes I clasp my hands together which allows for better control.

'I can't promise to fix all your problems but I can promise you won't face them alone'.
